Dry skin -- i'll award 10 points!?

My skin around my feet, hands and my t-bone area on my face are very dry. I ask what do do about it, and all people tell me is to use lotion. I do, and it doest work like i want it to. Speakings in my t-bone area on my face i dont know what to use b/c if i use the wrong thing i will cause blackheads... Please help!!!
