How can i be less condescending towards kids at school?

i act like that towards the ones who act stupid, but i really cannot help it. it's just part of my nature which i know is no excuse. i'm trying to be a little nicer and practice humility. it's not that i have something up my a$$ it's just the way i am by nature. but i'm trying to change. how should i start?
