Severe pain/headache from skull fracture that occured 4 days ago-Dr. says motrin is enough to manage pain?

my daughter was receiving morphine and percacet in hospital and that was just managing the pain-they sent her home after 24 hours-one Dr was going to prescribe tylenol w/cod. but his sup.said no-motrin would be enough-now it is the next morning and she is in severe pain-the motrin is doing nothing so far-does anyone know how long we can expect this severe pain to last? How long do the headaches last after a skull fracture?Has anyone else experienced this?
