Why do countries that have been around for hundreds & thousands of years hate the 233 year old US?

America set the bar fast & high. No other country thrust the world into the modern age as America has. Without the US leading the way the rest of the world would be lagging behind about 80 years. Pity we shared with some of those cave dwellers.
