Is my boyfriend's mother interfering too much?

I think you guys need to sit down and have a talk with his mother. I understand that she is very protective and all, but honestly, you guys are adults now. You guys need to learn to live through rough times and money issues. Tell her it's nice to give you guys all these gifts and help out a lot, but that you want to learn to be able to do it on your own and you guys are responsible enough and old enough to handle everything yourselves and if you guys ever are in a really tight jam, and desperately need help, then you guys will ask for a hand. You guys don't need that extra hand all the time, only when necessary. Good luck, honestly!
