Question about engine oil?

If a car sits for 2 months or 3 months and the oil was dirty when it was parked would the dirty nasty carbon eventually settle to the bottom of the oil pan ? because it's the weirdist thing i just bought a van when i bought it i check the oil before it was even started and it was mildly used mid to low range in color then i drove the van approax. 45 min from this farm to my house and i just checked it today and it's PITCH black now it's no big deal as i plan on flushing the engine with fresh oil and some additives to clean the rings and crap out of the engine and then seafoam the throttle body you know the basic clean up of the other persons mess then change the oil again to get rid of the garbage and add some lucas into the mix
