What's the best way to deal with rejection and exclusion in gay venues..?

Take it on the chin: it's like that corny book title "they're just not that into you". Move onto the next one. BTW if someone is mean in rejecting someone that's their problem, a simple 'no thanks, I'm with someone' usually suffices for me.
